Basicaly there saying the aux belt tensioner sits on this...

The williams as been at the garage having cambelt and water pump fitted.

They rang me this afternoon to say that the timing plate ( the bit that tensions the aux belt that has teeth on the plate,...

ive had a look at the guide mate and was a big help :)

My plan is to buy a second hand driveshaft and put new gaiter on to it then change the whole unit over when get time.

The bit im worried...

right ive been keepeing a eye on the leak and i think its coming from the driveshaft (where the gaiter meets the gearbox)

Now ive had a look at the guide on here, it mentions to be careful when...

the willy 2 needed a service so got all the parts and done it this morning, 8)

and cleaned the itg

i dont think its the drain plug as i changed the g.oil a few months back and repalced washer etc. (the g.box was losing oil before i did this too)

Is there anyway to solve...

When im in the car i can sometine smell oil, it doesnt smell like engine oil think its gearbox :? ,

Its also losing gearbox oil but dont no where from. It seems to be leaking onto the drip tray...

What oil is best to use to quiet the tappets up, ive looked and the mobil1 range but can only find 15/50 or 0/ 40,

Got a willy 2 and the engine seems to be very noisey tappety, Its not to bad on idle but soon as you pull away it gets worst as revs ger higher, ive done a oil change 10/40, and tryed forte top end...

Cylinder 1 is the only one with a decent compression 170psi, 2,3 and 4 are just making 35 psi. The engine is cold when this was done...

right with my car not starting going to do a compression test.

What kind of results should i be hoping for which should show the engine is good?
