I got a chip off ebay £40 and thought it was a complete waste of money for my Valver. Didn't run as well and couldn't feel any difference. In the end I put the standard ECU back in. My advice don't...
Came out of my car - had done 90,000, still sound no grinding etc. I picked up a recon one for reasonable money when i rebuilt the engine, so now I have a spare!
I've got one you can have £65

once started runs sweet as a nut, always a bit lumpy from cold, but other than that fine. Engine spins over very well and sounds healthy.
Possibily some engine temp sensor that tells the ecu how...
Hey guys
Got a slight starting problem. When the car has been left over night, the next day it will start fine. If it is driven in the day and left for about 3 hours, it takes a good lot of cranking...
cheers guys
I've got an intermittent fault with the fuel pump.
My immobiliser, immobilises both cank and fuel pump. Some times I go to start the car, turn the key to II and the fuel pump dioes not make the...
Are piper pulleys exactly the same for both willy and valver, or are the sizes different.
What makes the braking efficiency low on the handbrake - something siezed etc. any tips??

Anyway Rally Design £45 posted 8)
Where is the cheapest place to buy goodridge braided hoses from and also which brake fluid do people recommend
If the splines are greased and not rusted solid it takes no time at all really. Did mine on a ramp which made the job easier :D
Lowered mine one notch on the back and they're pretty much bottomed out. Nice and stiff tho now 8)
It would be criminal to break it
I had mine skimmed about 0.004" to clean up the face
ARP are good stuff. Got them in my Austin Mini race engine! Pricey tho :D
Have you tried taking the plugs out, spinning engine over, then leave for an hour or so for the fuel to evaporate. Then clean plugs and put them back in.
could flush the engine out. You've replaced all the main components to be honest
Yup only fits nicely one way round
ECU needs the stock chip desoldering, a chip carrier soldering on, then a new re-mapped chip can be plugged in. Hill Power, K-Tec to name a few
How much do Hill Power charge per hour. I'm in the midlands, so can anyone recommend any that are good with Renaults???
Got my rebuilt engine completed now and gotta finish off running it in. Just wondering what gains a rolling road session would give. What can be adjusted to maximise engine performance or is a remap...
What mods has the chip been tuned for
Interested in the front door cards - any pics
Bit dear that mate - oh well not to worry
Be easier to whip the rad out - give it a good flush out and refill the coolant system with nice clean water and anti-freeze 8)
I'm now running a K-Tec low temp fan switch and very pleased with it. Keeps the engine at a good temp 8)
