I'm sort of building my gearbox from separate parts from various boxes, and I've been looking for this crown wheel & pinion for quite a while now :???:

unfortunately I don't have the money to buy...

I've been told that not all can be removed, some of them are sort of 'molded' to the diff casing and it seems that the one I want to remove is one of em :sad:

How do I remove the crown wheel off my diff ?

Do I heat the ring (try not to heat the rest) and it should pop out with some hammering ?

Has anyone ever done this ? is it a pain to do ?

If your gonna leave the engine as it is and not planning on any performance upgrades then yes, it's not an issue, but if like myself you will be...

I suggest you remove the power steering as it will certainly suffer from alot of torque steer when the boost kicks in corners..
