Like iv said in my post above, I would personally use a product like venture shield fitted to areas which are likely to get stone chips as stevie b says
We fit this material for a local BMW...
3M is a premium product and very good hence the price. We use 2 different cast types for wrapping
Hexis is also a good product although we'v only used it when we haven't managed to find a match...
To wrap a full car your looking at around 15m of material
How are you wanting the vinyl to protect it? If your hoping it will stop stone chips, you will find it will only reduce the number of...
Hello all,
Abit of a long shot but I'm after a set of catcam 5502213 for my Williams
Thought I'd try before buying a new set
Thanks Richard
As for the roll cage cert, you could try and get a copy from devil. Safety devices just provide a photocopy and this is classed as acceptable.
As for getting it scrutineered, you need to find your...
I'm sure if you read the rules. If you have the homoligation papers for the cage, it will still be compliant. There was alot of concern with the escort safety devices cages as they have a double bend...
I fixed a hairline crack on my 19 16v with this stuff

Although it only suppose to be a tempory repair it...
Yeah mate, they have plastic clips that hold them in place
I still need some after removing them to have the roof painted as they all broke
Rich
Really should put up a project thread. The car looks quite a bit further on now
If any wants some better photos of the cage fitted, just ask
It looks even better when painted
Rich
I'm after a single or a set if of Williams wheels
They don't have to have any tyres or condition of the tyres really doesn't matter
I live in Cumbria and will travel some way to collect but if...
Still no takers?
Still for sale, for anyone interested
If your removing the engine, leave the engine wiring loom on the engine, it's a lot easier
Rich
Only just fitted mine the other night
My rear pins are mounted in the same place as stevie's but my front ones are drilled through where the rubber buffers sit from the original bonnet

Anyone after the ultimate cage for a clio?
Mine gets back from the paint shop, next week if anyone wants anymore pictures of what it will look like fitted
Rich
Still after one of these if anyone's got one
Cheers Rich
Think it has a 40mm thick core. Apparently the westfield boys use them instead of the common used 1.0l polo radiators
I have fitted a mk2 golf gti 16v radiator which runs a thicker core than the one most use but I have yet to test it yet :D
A few people have been asking what the kit looks like so here are some photo's of all the parts laid out

No mate,
It's my own. I'm building it to use on Tarmac stage events.
I will write a project thread eventually, just waiting for it to come back from the paint shop
Theres a couple of nice...

Offers?
It's worth checking the earth leads. I had this on a my old 16v. Turned out it was the earth lead which attaches through the gearbox mount. Infact the threads were actually stripped.
Sorry if you got the wrong end of the stick. I didn't mean chisel the top off but use the chisel to rotate the screw.
The shock loading will brake the seal then as long as there some grip left on...
Hammer and chisel :D
I have for sale a 2004 International Mk1 Roll Cage

I used a mk2 16v golf gti radiator turned upside down as it runs a thicker core than the santana one
Cheers rod, was kind of thinking the same really but thought if it was an easy job to do that it would be worth while
Might see if I can someone and get it priced up. It suprising though how much...
