That's the throttle body. Did you take the whole thing off or just spray it with stuff? Can you get a picture of the whole unit and the red parts and ISCV plug?
Sounds like a bad earth or maybe wiring issue, maybe shorting out somewhere like the starter motor or ISCV or throttle body. Have a look around the relays and the back of the engine where the...

I think rechroming is a time...
Glad you saw the issue before anything went badly wrong!
With the oil cooler plate and normal enthusiastic driving, you're fine, but for track days it needs an oil cooler and maybe a baffled sump...
Sat in a cosy garage for 18 months, on three wheels with no engine in. I am going to get it moving soon though and have a decent overhaul and rust removal done and a rebuilt engine and many other...

Where the hell did you find that pic!?
People are unsure about current or future prices. Seems a nice car but I can see defects, as will any Williams owner with a keen eye. Personally, I'd get a good bodyshop to do a full scrub down &...

Ahh sorry...didn't see the new posts........
Pics of arches?
I've seen fuel filters take a beating. Get that changed to avoid debris and blocked fuel system in the future.
Also, the 'main' HT lead is called the 'King' lead. It feeds the coil/dizzy.
