Mine only comes on once it dips below the 'R' and it flickers to start with as others said. Does not come on when i turn the ignition when starting tho.

Am i the only person that thinks 780quid for a gearbox aint that bad in comparison to some other manufacturers especially when you consider the age of the car, suprised they still even supply them.

Gearbox ordered from renault JC5S09 £780.16 all in.

I used to run 5w 40 fully synthetic but the engine seemed to use alot of it, since i moved to 10w 40 semi synthetic it uses alot less oil.

My friends williams had a problem with the oil pressure gauge under reading. Not sure what he did to fix it think he might have replaced the transducer or something but it was defo the gauge and not...

Ok cool the gearbox that was originally in the car had circlips. Learn something new everyday on here. Fingers crossed its the revised mod then even although i haven't had any probs with the circlips...

do the diffs not come as part of the gearbox?

As stated in description after a 16v nsf headlamp as my car was in for an mot and came back with a cracked headlamp so went and got one from a breakers only to find the 16v headlamps are diff to...

So the JC5 S09 is the refurbed JC5 014 box for defo, just checking because i have to pay for it tomorrow before he can order it and i dont wanna order the wrong box up. Going to be an expensive day...

Yeh expensive, but at least ill have a guaranteed gearbox that will hopefully last a while. JC5 boxes are awful :(

Just phoned another local dealer and they came back with a quote of £1072 and when i give them my old box i get £172 back so £900 all in.

Total gutted, had two gearboxes fitted to the car now that are shagged so just going to get one from renault. I have been told that you can get them for around 600quid so i phoned up my local arnold...

Any word on the new stock? Really want one with a brown cap as im cleaning up my bay :twisted:

There is a circlip in there that needs spread apart as said and then they should seperate. Sometimes require a few chaps with the hammer as they can become seized :/
