Lord almighty.... been lusting after a Spider (sans screen for me though :winkey:) ever since I first saw it in Autocar. And a Lunar Grey R26.R? You're killing me...
On the article though, I think...
Two of my cars got featured in October issues of two Polish car mags - the Williams in classicauto (new vs old comparison with a Clio IV Trophy) and a buyer's guide on the R26 in the Polish edition...
For those not on the Facebook group, link to a gallery from photo session for a local magazine. Think it turned out quite good :)

Won again this year :D This time over 600 cars at the event, although not all in the same category as me, of course.

Bloody hell... current price makes me feel pretty good about what I paid for mine :D
Posting this thread up here in case anyone decides to do what I did and buy the Lowe 57501 ICV - this is supposedly a replacement for the Williams unit (Bosch part no. 0280140501, which is no longer...
Can't wait to get mine :) The issue that is, already got a Williams :D
Ayli, have a look at the two links I pasted. 26k EUR is not the record.
The first link is the "absolutely" original W1 you mention - which I wouldn't call absolutely original. The gold filled...
There was that W2 at 4star classics for 15k GBP.
Several cars in Europe have gone for 25+k EUR at auction.

It's currently on just under 88k km / 55k miles, which is quite low for a 10 year old car (2007 production). 2 previous owners, with the first being the owner of a Renault dealership in Poland, so...
Slightly off topic - but got a stablemate for the Williams :)

Just to clarify - were you able to buy the door new from Renault? When I inquired, they weren't even able to confirm availability :(

I think this time it's more the thought of a (supposedly) dash out job, than parts availability itself...
One step forward, one (potentially big) step back :/
Forever Blacked my scuttle panel - initially wasn't too happy as it looked like a fairly gloss finish, was expecting much more of a matte...
About 220GBP (cheap!) but they couldn't confirm availability. In effect that means you order it, put down a deposit, and can chase up after two weeks.

Gear knob. Let me know if for some reason it's only NLA in UK, can help with getting one.
Ha, that's good! Thanks :) Shows how off the photo of just the Williams is with the colour :(
Bit of an update.
Swapped over the clocks from a friend's 16V - has fixed the issue of incorrect revs (would show it's cutting off at >3k RPM, but I am sure it was revving upto the correct...
Strange - just asked directly at Renault, they say available on order with 2 days delivery. About 40 quid.
You can get a knob from Renault - or at least could until fairly recently, not sure if still available. The finish is a bit different to the original however, feels quite a bit "cheaper" :(
I've got a used spare cap in case Matt can't deliver ;)
I'd say it's best to leave threads like this on the technical section. Quite a few of us are battling such issues - it's much easier to find a solution in a dedicated thread, than going the the...
Mileage wise, it's done just over 1k km over its time with me (nearing on two years now), so not that much ;) It is running a bit crap though, have to say. Since I decatted it (the cat was literally...
His & hers :)

Typical... as soon as I post something, I get proven wrong :D Here we go, #4536... for sale at a mere 49k EUR

I've posted on this matter a few times here. It seems the very high numbered, ph2 Williams is an Italy only thing (not France). The numbers are usually high 5k / low-high 6k. I do not recall ever...
