...a job that requires you to remove the slam panel, take off the fan and pull the radiator fan forward every time you do and oil change? It surely can't be that badly designed? Surely?

Ok slam panel off easily enough apart from breaking a socket in the process! So I now have to undo the fan to give me even the slightest chance to do this.
How the hell do you service (oil...
Ok, so I'll remove the slam panel and then come back here and ask another question :winkey:
Hehe. Indeed. its odd that I see everything from £1500 to £6500 for not dissimilar cars.
Couldn't see anything on here and thought it's probably an interesting topic...
I have realised that you mean remove the bumper and then slam panel! I looked underneath but there's no access. What an utter PITA

As above, doI need to remove the front intake. I can't see how to access it from above or below. Looks a right PITA!!!
Thankfully its warm enough today to have a 'play' with my CW3. So, after jakcing it up this is what I found. Mostly not too bad, I think. Thoughts/costs to sort?

Keep and eye on eBay for doors etc.

Ah good call, my old Laguna had an issue with the ariel. I took the CW ariel off and give it enough sealant to keep the car dry underwater! I've left all the roof console apart to check it.
Most likely reason for this?
i spoke to a guy who said that to do the OS arch it'd need the interior and fuel tanbk removing and then cutting, welding and painting, I did't get the impression that it would be a few hundred!
As above, I've seen everything from £500 for a sill/arch in a bad way up to £2000!
No problem although I think you sort of have! That's a lot of work and I am sure that won't have been cheap. The issue is that the CW isn't worth that much yet and so, from my POV, for me, I either...
Phew, what a job! i don't think mine is as bad but atm it is sitting in the drive we me wondering what to do with it (see my other thread). Looking at the work you did that must have amounted to a...
True, I'm battling Mrs 111R who thinks I have have too many cars (as if!) If I keep it I need somewhere to store it and I could squeeze it in the garage if I really had to. I know its is only going...
Problem is that could be £2000
I've got pics somewhere but I am dammed if I can find them!
Its my 3rd car (SAAB, Evora (wife's car) and then Clio)
I have a 3 with 76k and FSH. Mechanically it is spot on and the interior is excellent but....the OS rear arch and sill has rust. Bad enough to need replacing. It owes me about £3000. Do I try to sell...
How do I access this? From underneath? Does it require an oil change as well or can I get it out and replace in one go?
Thanks, why do these things happen just as it get to sub zero/torrential rain outside?!:upset2:
Ok, thanks, just need to look where that goes now! Lol (near the oil filter?)
Oil all fine. Thanks.
My CW3 wasn't used for a couple of months and now, after about 10 mins of driving it the following warning lights come on (oil can light and water temp light). The car runs fine but obviously once...
Any good body shop can help but beware....you are potentially opening a can of worms. There can be a lot hidden behind there and the body shop may need to remove the interior and fuel tank. ££££££+
Do you have good (no curling) roof rail trims?
I have just put a new battery into my car and this morning I awoke to the alarm making a bleeping sound? Sort of 6 quick bleeps. It does it every so often. Any ideas why? Is it saying the battery is...
Thanks but was hoping for a cheaper option.
