I had the exact same problem, tried refitting it loads of times, but nothing would stop it banging!

In the end i went for a Magnex, no more banging, better fit and quieter than the Mongoose :wink:

Are they meant to be black matt/gloss or dark grey or what?

Mine are a light shade of grey and no amount of back to black or tyre dressings etc can get them looking nice!

You a member on Dw are ya wayne,its a cracking site some guys there do amazing work, and the idea of a person spending a few quid on diy stone chip repairs is a good one, afterall if it works great,...

Probably best to change the lot really, the teeth on mine were a bit worn aswell as the spring with no tension,

the spring on my new pedal was slightly different aswell, a little bit longer.
