I have this really crappy clio and I have decided to track it to death, the rear brake pipe has split at the compensator. As a bodge I was thinking about removing the compensator and running a line...

Its got big 17" wheels on it with 215/40 R17's on it. Trams like buggery. Problem was traced to track rod...

The engine mounts on the clio seem to be pretty soft, both clios I have owned recently have had a lot of movement in the engine when you come on and off power, you can really feel it through the gear...
 :D
Will explain why i thaught flywheel affected torque also.
I was always taught to theing of bhp and torque like this,
Bhp is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with...
HAHAHA, thanks mate. I do not read max power at all and I am not that way inclined. I may have got confused, is that not allowed or am I instantly branded a Chav because of that.
I run a clio...
Before I had the Clio I was running a Peugeot 205 GTI. I fitted it with a 2.0 turbo engine from a Citroen xantia activa. Standard running .5 bar it produces 150bhp with a cat. Mine was running a 2wd...
The flywheel is there to keep the engine spinning, once the flywheel is spinning the inertia keeps the engine going. So as you lift off the throttle a heavier wheel would keep the engine going longer...
For a fwd car I learnt that what you need is a high comp engine with a small turbo, having a low cr and a big turbo in a small fwd car is just pointless. The Clio is not really the fastest car out...
I think you would loose torque by fitting a lighter flywheel, but it would rev up a lot easier.
This is going to sound a little chavvy but I was wondering if anyone had ever drilled holes in the standard airbox? All I'm after is that lovely induction sound they make with an open filter on till...
Well after a good look over it it needs a few things doing. The rear arch is shot as we all know. The heater matrix is blocked, the steering needs welding up (that rubber bush thing) and the rear...
