Hi do you know where you can get a new screw sleeve that goes over the top of the terminal for the connector to screw on to? I have replaced the battery and the old one broke as I took it off.

it arrived but the way the petrol cap connects on this one is at a different angle so no good for me

impossible to get a replacement reserve tank, have found someone scrapping a clio and the fuel tube is on its way.

Hi My Williams 1 has a leak in the small reserve tank, a slight crack in the plastic .
Does anyone have any info. on how to repair or replace it?

Sorry, of course it's not a carburettor, I mean the flap behind the air filter, probably a choke flap

Thanks , but when I cleaned the carburettor the fault went away, but gradually came back after a few weeks. Doiesn't that suggest it's the carb getting dirty? and if so why would it get dirty?

I have a problem with my williams 1.
The engine has started cutting out and stalling especially when going over bumps.

After checking my battery connections with no sign of a problem, I tried...

just a note on how I fixed this. I managed to find a clio 1, (not an easy thing now) and those fuel pipes were the same.

I found that my old fuel lines had been chewed in many places by a rodent...

The plastic fuel pipe from the filter has perished on my Williams mk1, the pipe is no longer supplied by Renault anymore :upset2:

Yes from what I remember it doesn't look exactly the same but could work
need to apply something because the movement in the battery causes the engine to cut out

Some numpkin has lost my battery clamp plate on my mk1. Luckily the long bolt is still there.
Does anyone know if the standard Renault clamp plate like one in the link will work okay on the mk1...
