See if they can unbolt the catalytic converter and then try revving it normally.
If you record the rev counter for us and rev it up for us to hear after the engine warms up, we can tell you.
Ahh is this the issue you wanted to get a diagnostics on?
Did the garages try unbolting the exhaust from the downpipe? This is symptomatic of a blocked exhaust. The insides of the silencer/s...
It's OBD1. You need an ancient XR25 thingy tool (I forget the exact name). Pain in the ass. What seems to be the issue?
:flag:
Interesting. Not see the female ends before on a Willy lol...
Thought valver were shorter, but still okay for Williams (just).
Are these valver or Willy?

Pretty sure it is that chip. This is a 107. they can blow on other bits though so check for scorch marks underneath.
Or it is the bigger chip on the left...can't remember!
Yea, so the big chip on the board is the EPROM. With a carrier, that chip gets removed and a slottable carrier put in place so you can swap out whatever chip you want. But, it might not be the EPROM...
Hi mate! I am sure I saw this reg somewhere recently...might not have been on a Clio. I will have a look.
Hello :)
You'll be fine. There are no moving parts in that section. Just grease it up I think and job done.
Done :)
Oh, and another thing. The ISCV needs to be put back on the right way round, assuming you whip it off for the intake refurb. Give it a good decarb too while it's off, you'll get loads of crud out :)
It's fairly easy apart from one bolt on the underside where the power steering pump is. You can do it it with the right deep socket and extension and swivel knuckle I think...but easier to loosen off...
Have a really good look at the plug and the switch for corrosion/short circuits. Must be a Ph2 as Ph1 didn't have electric ones. Water and grime can mess with these a lot but a good clean can do...
You can still get the glass on ebay I think.
A year late in my reply...that is Leighanne, a member here but she very rarely comes to this site anymore as she is so busy. One got sold earlier this year and I have gradually got the other three...
Looking epic!

Where I live in Hants there is still a dark green Carlton 3000 undercover cop car. I saw it twice, once in my M5 as I slowly cruised past it in my M5 (he pulled in front of me and put the POLICE SLOW...

Omg...hahaha thougnt this was an old pic of mine! L468 TAC :D
That's the throttle body. Did you take the whole thing off or just spray it with stuff? Can you get a picture of the whole unit and the red parts and ISCV plug?
Sounds like a bad earth or maybe wiring issue, maybe shorting out somewhere like the starter motor or ISCV or throttle body. Have a look around the relays and the back of the engine where the...
Ooooh!!! And an R26R
Welcome to Willyland :)
Cool :D
