Strange Williams alloys

A friend of mine has bought a set of Williams alloys. He was suprised when he noticed that the alloys were manufactured in 1992. (there is a '92 + 3 dots' mark between the spokes and NOT on the back of the spoke(s)). The centre cups cannot be fitted because the groove is missing. They are not Prima Racing wheels because the 'Speedline' and Renault badge are also visible between the spokes. Any idea?
