Has any1 on here got a throttled bodied clio, weather it a 1.8 or 2.0, how much roughly does it cost? does it make the car sound any different and how bhp does it add?

craig has one, but its work in progress thanks to kent cam pulleys.

lookin at 5-6 grand all in for all the work required to run bodies right on a f7r/p engine.

craig pushed 215bhp atf iirc?

yes quite a few. sounds much different. about 2500 notes. depends on the rest of the spec. prob better to have head work and cams first then throttle bodies but then upto 30 bhp ish

cheers i seen summat on ebay so after lookin at ur pic i get what it does now
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4627094266&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2F search.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D4627094266%250 9%26fvi%3D1

so with above item u add 4 carbs then it uses that instead or the standered air filter

they aint carbs mate, petrol dont come into it, thats still injected.

its the inlet trumpets on ebay there, thats it, u need the butterflies n everything else n all to go with em to make it work!

each trumpet has its own butterfly that opens on the throttle, and the air panel filter covers the lot.

good idea to pay b/end some attention n all tho tbh, no point runnin big power aspiration and plus 200 bhp on a shagged bottom end so total engine rebuild is way forward so open ur wallet and inform the bank manager!!

craigs theoretical cost would of been in that region for all the parts and labour, but a bodied setup along would only set you back under £3k.

so when this guy says carbs

or Running the readily available Weber 45 carburettors
do u use the carbs to control flow of air instead of buying loads of differnt components
then a bit more fettling and u got t/boddies ??

in my head it seems easy lol but i said before i aint got a clue

1 of them off ebay + 2 sets of webbers ( can u find these in old cars or m/bikes)

stickin a pair of carbs on would be a good idea......same idea in principal.

the thing on ebay is the manifold, not the bodies, or inlet trumpets.

mine will cost me in the region of a couple hundred quid, thats for big valve head, cams, verniers, bodies, ecu and wiring loom, all linkages etc etc.

having said that tho, theres more to add to that list yet hehe;)

sounds summat like this...........
