Does anyone find that in the williams/valver the "go" pedal is to high (vertically if looking at a cross section)? - not forward/back in relation to the brake pedal.

The 306 is dead easy to do it in, but trying in the williams is impossible (mine anyway), the go pedal only touches the middle of my foot...

anyone know if there is a way to "lower" (vertically) the go pedal?

:)

i dont think he means in terms of travel direction, he means its up from the rest like this!

yup, cheers coops, thats exactly what i mean! is everyone elses like that?

Ideally I want to adjust it (if poss) so that the accelerator is slightly lower.

I think it's too high in both respects. One is over come by adjusting the throttle clip apparently but I haven't done this yet.

I still think an extension to the pedal would help as well.

I dont heel - toe as such. I use the ball of my foot to brake and my pinky toe side to blip the throttle on the downchange.

when i have some money to spend on costmetics for the car i will be buying a decent set of pedal extensions, and get the matched up perfectly, so its easy to acess all the pedals.

lets just be glad we dont have 106's!
OMG their pedals are so close together its a joke!

the pedals in my 306 are spot on, perfectly spaced apart, and all correctly set vertically for good heel and toeing.

shame i can't replicate this in the williams. i guess pedal extension on the accelerator is the only way to go?

You can adjust the pedal position by doing this:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peterj.jones/Hosted%20Stuff/Heel%20And%20Toe%20Adjustment%20For%20Mk1%20Clio.j pg

I think it also brings the pedal up and down inside the car, i cant remember if it does, but it deffo helps lowering the pedal so its more in line with the brake.
Then its just a technique of finding a position which works for your foot.
Its sometimes easier with bigger shoes  but is weird going from skate shoes to driving shoes lol
