Southern Meet 30/04 [Archive]

Its been a while since we have had a proper big meet, and now that its starting to get warmer :wink: and lighter evenings, would be good to get a meet on the cards.

As theres quite a few people in the Southern area, where abouts is everyone located/would like the meet? I know there are quite a few of us around the Portsmouth and Southampton areas so initial ideas would be around there?

I was thinking of having the meet mid to late April what would suit people, weekends? Was thinking meet up have a chat, then go for a drive and stop off somewhere and grab some food/drink or something.

Its the 30th April, which is this sunday.
Its Sainsburys Petrol Station, where you coming from? as if your coming down towards portsmouth way you go up the slip road and follow the filter lane round and you will end up by the garage.

Couple of pics from today. Had a couple of vids too but they didn't show anything interesting (such as the naples backfiring all the way through Hampshire, or someone overtaking a car making a right-turn).

I did 200 miles today :shock:

was a good meet.

twice i was nearly pissing myself with laughter.

The first time when we was crawling through that village, and the old guy in the red rover tried to go past us and ubber kurbed his wheels, big puff of tyre air and dust, hillarious, sounded like a manhole cover being blown off.

The second time adam managed to hit a pigeon on take-off, big bloom of feathers covered my car as the bird struggled to maintain height with one wing, LOL 8)

all in all, a good drive :) cheers guys.

Quality drive guys! Some very funny moments - missed the pigeon impact but got the very feathery aftermath, and I had to laugh at Rover guy's expense. Also, cruising past Summeh was amusingly satisfying :P
