Clio_GTT
24-03-2006, 23:50
Thats not a splitter its the whole dimma kit, if your going to have a dimma keep it OE, get the dimma wheels and lose the morrettes

Clean dimmas are lush

Gav
24-03-2006, 23:51

anyone got another pic of a dimma clio?

Jamie.
24-03-2006, 23:53
if i was minted id keep that front bumper or whatever then and just have a body shop reduce it a bit....... reckon it would look nice if it was just a bit smaller.

Gav
24-03-2006, 23:54

Don't butcher it, keep the spoiler, lose the wheels and M3 mirrors and keep it OE dimma and it will be MINT 8) 8) 8)

Gav
24-03-2006, 23:58
cuz i value others oppinions dood....need them to make a decision

Scott-16v!
24-03-2006, 23:59
i really like it, apart rom the lexarse lights and tatty interior it looks spot on imo. No point changing the spoiler or front bumper, they're part of the dimma kit.
For £1600 it seems a steal, would need a good checking over, if all is well you've got a looker for little money 8)

thats the essence of the dimma tho, gotta appreciate it for what it is

Zollo

Not my cup of tea, but that one isn't too bad. Would be better with black wheels and DTM mirrors instead of those M3 shockers.

Had a discussion with some 205 Dimma owners about this too. They didn't really appreciate it when I said the kit would look better without the Testarossa rear quarters.

i'd buy it and sell the chavvy bits on it and just tone it down a bits

definatly remove!!!

front splitter thing
mirrors
rear lights and front lights
spoiler
wheels

you'll get £500 back for that lot on ebay

put standard lights all round and standard black mirrors and spoiler

polished willy wheels and you laughing

matt uk
25-03-2006, 00:32
i'll take you for £40 return theresa car i wanna look at down that way near bristol!

You lucky dog! One of the smoothest aftermarket bodykit I have seen on a clio (mk1, 2 or 3). Nicely blended look all round. Nothing stands out as being dated or over the top (except maybe the air dam and spoiler). Hope it still handles OK with the big wheel. Er.. it's a valver and not a Williams, right?

Zollo
25-03-2006, 00:36
polished willy wheels and you laughing

And so would everyone else be, if he did that - willy wheels would look tiny under those arches. Big wheels are a must with those kits unfortunately :(

Martin
25-03-2006, 00:37
and big wheels are only good on big cars....it's all a bit show and no go is'nt it.

matt uk
25-03-2006, 00:41
would they really look that bad?

i just really dont like big wheels...

what wheels look good on a v6 clio then?

thats gonna look similar with the whole wheels lost in the arches thing...

maybe its just them white ones on it.. they look huge :(

Zollo
25-03-2006, 00:45
Yeah, I agree. Would look better in black. Clio V6 has 17s, but that's a much bigger and heavier car so doesn't feel or look so bad on big wheels.

Scott-16v!
25-03-2006, 00:48
fancy taking me scott? :D

ive told you before fella i'm straight, just accept it

you need a co driver though, otherwise you'll turn off and end up in aberdeen :P

A pet peeve of mine is I hate the looks of tiny original brake discs on wheels upsized too much. Just don't look right to me. Actually tried convincing a mate of mine to size up his discs with his wheels once. If this clio is full of air between the wheels and the discs, it will be a real turn off to me. But that's just me, you see :D

stew
25-03-2006, 01:09
Looks nice imo.

Wheels need refurbing in grey/silver.

other than that looks fine to me!

henry has got one (in edin) and it looks sweet. dont like the spacers on them as the discs look lost in the arches, but the car in whole defo looks nicer in real life than in pics.

id rather have a maxi tho!

has to be show and lots of go for me.

std 16v shell and tunned willy engine is best of both worlds imo!

clowo16v
25-03-2006, 02:51
Looks nice just a couple of small cosmetic changes and it will be mint (wheels, lights, mirrors).

I'd try and find some deep dish 17s for it they'd look cool.

See ya

Matt

If you put the original headlights back on, then this doesn't look right without the logo on the bonnet. So keep the Morettes on.

IMO cars like that are fine if they have some SERIOUS poke to go with it. If a car's wide track it should be for a good reason, like it's mid-engined

Mattie
27-03-2006, 00:14

werent dimma originally based round the chester area?? so i would imagine all cars (original ones) will have been registered in same area....dimma will have bought the cars from their local dealer i wouldve thort.

Looks pretty good, could do with getting shot of those Lexus rears though!!! Also I think maybe Graphite alloys instead of those Whites would make it more stealth like if your worried about it being a little chav like!!. Keep the Morettes though I think they quite cool..
