Time to get the drill out and swiss cheese it then. Strip all the inside of the hatch out and chop the frame out it weighs loads.

I'm not going to those extents, but yes, took it for a drive,a nd handling more than anythign else is better, weighted 1030kg with full interior
when its fully stripped down will weigh it again

I prefer the handling with it stripped out though it can get a bit twitchy on bumpy roads.

Nice one lunner!

you removed the spare, cage, jack etc yet?

Mine also had a tendency to lock rear wheels after i replaced my brake bias valve. need to adjust it, but at the moment the rears arent wearing properly! only the inside of the pad is making proper contact with the disc.

any ideas? im gonna strip them down this weekend, clean the calipers up, and put it all back together. do i need to bleed the brakes after taking the pads out and rewinding the piston, and freeing the sliders up? (please say no!)

i put most of my interior back in, just left sparco seats in and spare wheel in back(no rear seats)

was intending to use valver i was buying as track car but that fell through and cant be arsed taking it all back out now!

should open the bleed nipple when rewinding the piston in stops it damaging the seals.

no as when pushing caliper back in put a little pipe on the nipple into a jar of brake fliud open nipple push caliper back in close nipple. brakes bleed no damage to seals or master cylinder.

they always wear the inside pad in the rear calipers more in my experiance though worth checking though. remember to use red rubber grease around the rubber parts on the caliper and not copper grease as this destroys the rubber caliper parts.

got mine down to 860kg with no roof lineing, footwell sound deadening removed, no spare wheel, no jack, stripped rear, standard front seats and carpet, 16" superleggeras, 3/4 tank of fuel, oh and the valver engine replaced with c1j engine.

just replaced standard seats with carbon kevlar cobra imolas with alloy sidemounts, have removed carpet and centre console. will remove charcoal canister and the bracket and will have less fuel in next time. hope to get down to 830-840kg when get on the weighbridge sometime next week.

will then continue the diet till its a anerexic 800kg or less

Justin..
