Remember there being a post aboiut someone doing there own Turbo'd clio? I've been looking at the BB Tunings and KTecs kits and there bloody expensive for what they are. Wondering where people got there parts from and advice on doing there own kit. Mates a mechanic who will help me do this

running a bb turbo on mine some parts you can get cheaper or better others hard to find. can supply you a list of what i got if that helps. but been unable to source most parts anywhere else cheaper. charge cooler down pipe etc. other parts pistons oil cooler etc can be found cheaper. not sure on turbo etc. stan on here is pricing me a turbo exhaust manifold from france. awaiting photos.

yup self source all parts! i can get everything for about a Grand for the low compression turbo.. high compression you need to use forged pistons and possibly uprate conrods

go direct to pace for piping and cooler.. r 21 injectors, r 21 map sensor...the only parts i couldnt source where the exhaust mnifold parts

i am running the high boost and spent more than that for the bottom end parts alone.

ben red16 was building a diy turbo lump up ages ago....he got the pistons/manifold/turbo etc sorted out relatively cheap iirc.


will have to get more info off him next time he online.

can use megane pistons for about 40 notes will run at about 7.5 to 1

been looking at getting the turbo from america as they seem alot cheaper,the t28 is 300 instead of 900 from bb

iirc you can use a 2nd hand scooby turbo, coz its the t28, and you can pick them up dirt cheap as most scooby owners upgrade to a bigger one!

i know a mate who picked one up for 100 quid! only done 30k miles, perfect working order! (wasnt for a clio tho!) :(

has anyone got a limtied slip diiff as might be worth it with a turbo! bloody expensive though :(

yes mate am running a rebuilt strenghted box with a gripper limited slip diff in it. cheers stan fancy it but needs to line up with the turbo down pipe i am using. dont want to buy it and find i cant fit it in

al over.... not got the places on this comp all on my other pc but it dont work... price was around 920 but found cheaper parts now
was for a low boost conversion running around 7psi no intercooler
