crank case breather or catch tank, depends how keep you are on keeping a clean and oil free engine/bay.

Routed inot the std airbox the engine sucks the oily vapours back in, and it makes a mess of your filter

whats the major negative point of routing it to the outside air, other than getting oil everywhere?

Thats it, get oil everywhere, cars that expell a lot of oil have or can ahve systenms where by teh caught oil is returned to teh sump, but not necessary for the clio afaik

you want a breather system with a baffle, block return and a positive vacuum evacuation. If you dump it to atmo you loose any beneficial crankcase vacuum.

Can you supply or recomend a decent one Ben?

i cna yes, but for what it is, and installation its actually quite expensive, so if its a std-ish car i wouldnt really bother, eventhough the F7's pump out alot of vapour.
