View Full Version : How do you remove the sun visor Clips

Started the strip down of my car this morning so i could get on with the sunroof. All was going real well but i carnt work out how the clips which the sunvisors mount to come out ?

Can anyone help ? There is no info in the haynes manual either.

Oh and i forgot - ive removed the screw which is fitted....but i still carnt get them out.

Maybe there sloted in aswell, maybe try pushing it forwards or backwards....unless u have all ready tried this.... :wink:

i tried mine ages ago.wrigglin em round etc.as northy has already done..it didnt feel like it was gunna come out without breakin.....so i left it lol

The screws would have pulled some plastic down and spread them a bit, just need to keep wiggling and pulling, if you break one i'll send you a new one.

Had to resort to removing a clip from a breakers yard this afternoon.
Cheers Stromba Id given up.

The scrap car took some right stick to get them out, and it was purched onthe top of another clio...was a rockin....heehee

The clip as removed from the car. First impressions are YES its finally out !

How the clip is held inplace to the car by the screw, The nuts compresses and formes the lock against the car.

And what i think need to do to get the clip out without damaging anything.

Hopefully i will try and make up a little tool to take this out tomorrow.

Cut the plastic and get new clips to save risking damage to the headlining?

lol...well in going to see if my improvised tool gets it out.

Might be able to get some made up and sell them on to you guys then heehee.
