not scared any more

got caught doing 100.4 average and a top speed of 130.7mph and got the verdict through this morning

only 6 points and £210 fine


makes you think the tbh iv been a lot slower since it was like a kick up the arse i needed to slow my ass down

I thought they reduced the speed limit for a ban to 96 mph not so long ago?

you are lucky... my maet got caught doin 98 by an undercover police car on the motorway and got a ban for it....

tbh alot of it is the way in whihc you were doing the speed, i've been followed at 80 on a 60 road by an under cover car and just got a bollocking for it, cus i slowed down for the 30/40 limits and wasn't driving like a tit

The 'instant ban' rule doesnt actually exist. Over a certain speed (relative to the limit, such as 96 in a 70 and 77 in a 50) a routine summonds is issued rather than a fixed penalty, then its up to the magistrates what happens with you, such as this case where they only issued points and a fine. They could have banned you so you must have done something right (like crying like a girl in front of them!).

Are you sure you were officially caught doing 130 mph? That would have been an aggravating factor that would have pushed this to a ban and no magistrate on this earth would have let you off that!!

i didnt go to court consulted a lawer and told me easy way to do it was not bother keep going back and apply via post as guilty and just say the usual shit like its my first offence i dont normally speed(cough) i wont do it again ect and also got my boss to do a character vitness thing saying how much of a nice guy i am (cough) and how i need lisence to work ect

it was a "vascar" scanner thing that cought me doing 100.4 mph

but it was the copper that said he was strugling to catch up with me at 1 point (that would have been the roundabout) and he was doing 150 in the old volvo and he had it up on the speed reading thing 130.7mph

and the 100.4mph was an average speed over 3.2miles :)

and i got a twelve month ban a couple of years ago just foir fainting while out shopping. and i was not in the car. but cos i smashed me head and the shop called an ambulance it was reported to the dvla and they banned me for 12 months. so watch out

yes was not laghing either spend 18 years speeding driving on the edge and then get banned for fainting while shopping. still was over due. and i now have 12 points too use up on the new engine . which should be ready in 2 weeks.

There probably be wont be, till your renewal date.

Alot of insurers dont charge additional premiums midterm in speeding offences, it happens at renewal.
