Cleaning Sump?

Just wondering whats the best way of cleaning up the aluminum sump, I thought there was no point in painting it as it's silver anyway so what can I use to clean it, shiny?

its aluminium so it can be polished up nice and shiney, but will oxidise slowly...need to get as much crap off as possible before polishing though.

excellent, what can I use to polish it up with, autosol do the job?

auto sol and wet and dry depends how clean you want it

would you clean, then wet and dry followed by autosol?

Also what detergant for the inside?

clean with engine degreaser inside and out then wet and dry with the autosol
