I've recently done an oil change on my car and have reused the sump washer...checked it today and it was leaking a bit/bolt was slightly loose...arse!

I've tightened it up as much as i can now but the book recommends 15nm or torque...will me tightening it as far as it'll go (as much as you can lying underneith) equate to that sort of pressure?

UNLESS YOUR A TIGHT ASS .. 10 DAM PENCE I TELL YOU 10 PENCE

also the sump is very thin and can not take overtighting hand tight only AND I DO NOT MEAN HE MAN TIGHT

the copper sump washers are 10p, the other ones with the rubber bit are about £1

Its a steel sump.

Anyway, I've tightened it up as far as possible and its remained tight for the 350mile trip today so thats good enough. If its damaged the thread then so be it - it'll be long sold before it need changed again so will be someone elses problem.
