My Insurance went from 590 to 1200 for the year from a 1.8 16V to the 2.0.
Ho Ho Ho!
Mike
800 to 1300 for me!
worth declaring imo, coz if you crash badly or kill someone you WILL get SHAFTED!
80 quid difference for me :)
from £500 std 1.8 16v to £750odd for 2.0 16v on t.b's, forged pistons, cams, big-valve head, yadda yadda

I've always wondered why it goes up so much. There's barely any extra power and they can't seriously be thinking that a valver with a 2.0 is somehow worth as much as the 'special edition' Williams that commands much higher resale prices?? :? Surely that resale price is what dictates most of the insurance group hike to 17 from 12? I mean, you can mod a valver past 150bhp and still pay less than a williams with 150bhp as standard!
Only goes up if you tell them

Has anyone got a quote for just a willy-track conversion?
I've got to ring the insurance people but don't fancy explaining what all the parts are to some girl 4000 miles away...
