yep...mines pretty heavy, did'nt think I could drive the thing when I first tried it  You get used to it. Feels so wiered driving a car with a light springy clutch, when u have a valver.

Girls. When I first got mine I honestly couldn't believe how heavy it was, virtually had to use both legs. :P

Then the garage said there's no way it should be that heavy, checked it and found it had the wrong cable fitted. Nearly rammed my foot through the floor when I got it back. :P

ive driven a valver and the clutch feels the same on my willy and the valver. dont see the point in soft pedal conversions myself, but hey ho each to their own

All 16v / williams are heavy. Learn to live with it, soft pedel conversions are for girls.

my RT was heavy aswell, same as the valver, most of the Renaults are like this, you get used to it

I don't even class my valver as heavy............

Not compared to my AP Paddle on my RST

They shouldn't be heavy, its a sign that the clutch is going.
All the cars i have fitted new clutches to have been fine afterwards.
Even the GTT uprated clutch was nice and light, just took your leg off at the bite!

Mines heavyish, im used to it and much prefer it to light springy clutches.

My sisters 1.8RT is the same, as is my mates valver e.t.c

Every single 306 I've owned and driven has had a heavy clutch, even ones with new clutches. And same with Clios, but not quite so bad. Must be a French thing...

Swervin - is the Xsara clutch heavy?

My Willy and Valver have/had heavy clutches, and I have replaced them both, no difference.

I agree with HP, soft pedal conversions is for poofs or ladies

mine in the valver was heavy as fook.

williams 2 was light

williams 1 light.....even with the uprated one in at mo, still really light, jus a bit forceful on the biting point lol.

williams 1 with paddle clutch, again this is pretty light too, with same characteristics as the gtt clutch in mine...i.e its either on or off, but it tries to force ur foot off the pedal all the time lol

Avoid traffic jams. And don't let any carpark valet park the clio. That's about the only down side of the heavy clutch. And exercise the right leg more often to match up the left thigh and calf muscle tone. :)

Matt, I don't think the VTS' is heavy no. But then maybe I'm used to it. Steph certainly didn't say anything when she first got it though.

The Diesel's one is pretty heavy (commented on by a mate, so not just me) and it's brand new. Must be something to do with the way the cable's routed on 306s or something.

Id class the valver as light and the williams as even lighter tbh, jesus' seemed a lot lighter than my valver, think that was when he had his diesel box in though so it could be the same now.

205 gti pedal was far heavier than both.

I think the heavy clutch suits the character of the car - it's only a pain when you're in traffic.

As above though, I put my foot through the floor of other cars now... LoL

still the same now even with new clutch and box, I dont find it heavy at all, but then I have done over 30k on it... my last car I thought the clutch was light, but the first car I ever drove had a heavy as **** clutch, so maybe it's because I'm an 'F' old schooler?
