Alright guys.....

Ive spent most of today preparing the skoda for its mot tomorrow.

The list of jobs done today have been - 1 new steering rack boot, kingpin adjustment, tapets adjusted, fuel filter cleaned, oil change, and a good wash. Did the non working headlights yesterday so I thought id treat a quick vacuum on the inside.

Got the car vac out and plugged it into the garage wall socket…..(I was still holding the vac at this time and heading towards the car) I stopped and thought to myself this plug cover is a little loose - I'll unplug it and tighten it up before I use it....….AAAARRRRRRRH.........AAAAARRRRRRHHHH.... ..the cover fell off and I was left holding the plug directly with the mains electroquting me.... AAAAARRRRRHHHH !!!!!

It happened so quick as well…I was looking the other way when I plugged the vac in and the initial shock it gives you was unreal.

I managed to get my hand off after 5 seconds....it felt like ages...my dad came running around the corner just as i let go....He started laughing straight away (thanks pal) but oh my god how much does 240Volts hurt.

My figures are still tingling now. Didnt have time to swear just AAAARRRRHHH lol

So a word of warning - always turn plug sockets off before you plug into them....might save you what i experienced today.

It isnt true what they say about your hair standing on end though.

My fingures are aching now....werid.

I hate to imagin how painfull it is to really get zapped by the industrail stuff....240V is way more than i could handle.

At least it passed the MOT.

It would be bad sending 240v through ya and failing.. you'd have thought the shock ( ) would have been for nothing.
