basically should I do it on my valver?? I really love the sound that throttle bodies produce and have the money to do it but is it really worth it on a valver or should i go for a willy engine and TB that???
if u got the cash i'd personally go for a meggi bottom end on a valver engine and body that!
no....you want to keep the megane head if your using the throttle bodies!
megane F7R, throttle bodies, and whatever other goodies you can afford
yep^^^
id say rather than spend £££££s on bodies, go for the 2.0 conversion first.
u will still see good gains on the valver, but the gains will be better on the 2.0.
there was a guy runnin on carbs on his 1800 at york a while back.....was runnin high 14 to low 15s iirc....which isnt bad for a valver

and if u look at martin n thats pod times u can get mid to low 14's for strippin a hybrid (meggi/willy either dont matter!!) and cammin it!!
u dont have to go to the extremes of strippin that martin has to get into the 14 deads either.
i usually run mine with just rear bench , boot carpet n spare wheel out

thanks for the feedback guys does anyone kno what power the 2 litre on tbs will run compared to the valver??
Also aren't the willy lumps quite hard to source a decent one for a decent price??
Is there anyone on the forum who will do a willy conversion into my valver for me??
cheers
matt
power will be 200+bhp depending on spec

How easy is it to get hold of a 2.0 williams lump?
What sort of money is it to get a conversion??
I love the look of my car and would love a 2.0 lump in it, as opposed to just going out and buying a williams.

Stan has just given me a top notch quote for the labour PM him for details...I am wondering the same thing as u mate, i thought they were really hard to get hold of in good nick??
they are expensive when they do come up for sale....usually £700-1000.
best thing to do is keep in touch with me as i often have them at decent prices, and i can rebuild them & modify to whatever spec you want...
msn is craigstanley_781@hotmail.com
i added u mate to msn if thats okay, am not after work yet but one day!!

neither would i mate, but unfortunately its a sellers market....
and you would never find a REBUILT one for that money anyway....
think tony 16v has a willy engine, box and ecu for £750 , give him a pm..
