anyone know 100% on how i'd go about cleaning the surface of my front discs? just got myself some 16valve front grooved discs and calipers 2nd hand so i wanna clean them up a little bit and get rid of the dust that's in the grooves and just a general spruce! also anyone know where i can get hold of either dark blue or gold caliper paint?

hammerite or plasticoat paint, should do the trick on the calipers

Clean the grooves with a stiff brush , either plastic or wire brush is ok . If you also want to clean the face of the disc , use some fine wet& dry paper . Anything from 320 grit upwards is ok.

It'll be easier wet and wont clog so much . If you use a little bit of fairy liquid in the water , it will also de-grease the disc at the same time.
