Does anybody know anyone who can make a Clio turbo downpipe for a good price?
Powerflow estimated circa £200 for stainless. I haven't asked the tuning companies cuz I'm sure they'll all be around the same price.
I don't know anything about pipework - is it possible to modify a standard downpipe and add the correct flange?

Not sure who can make it but £200 is massively overpriced

if you cant make one yourself, then £200 isnt a bad price....

think bbpt is around 280...
try ashley exhausts they can make custom manifolds..
you could always modify a williams downpipe/manifold. cut it and weld a flange to it, or find a fabricator that does stainless steel....
you cant use a 16v manifold though to cut and weld because its cast

Ah sorry just thought he wanted the downpipe from turbo to de-cat. £200 isn't too bad for a custom manifold. However if you can MiG weld buy one of those custom exhaust manifold kits, tack it with the MiG then get a company to TiG it up for you. Not 100% sure on the best shape for a turbo manifold, though its so tight round there I'm guessing its just a fit and make do.

280 is just for the downpipe from bbpt the manifold is a bit dearer!

Yeah, I just meant the downpipe cuz I'm sure the OEM manifold can have a flange welded to it.

I can't weld (though I'm good at burning holes 8-[ ) and I don't have access to a welder.

It wouldn't have to be a work of art. I'm just after whatever would do the job and not break. Modifying the OEM pipe would be fine for me if that works.

I'm pricing up my own turbo conversion, so if anyone here knows how to do it, or knows someone can, please PM me with prices.
Cheers all

BTW Fred, who are your exhaust boys?

using a few second hand parts etc i managed to get a turbo conversion up for about £920 with over £400 of brand new manifold and downpipe from bbpt.
Look around for a local fabricator, get a flange for the turbo and ask him to make you a piece of pipe with the flange on that bends the same as the downpipe does, cost about £40 made out of aluminium :P

Plattsy Do you have any pics of the turbo downpipe? What did you do about fueling/ignition?

Cheers for the answers all. Didn't know you can't weld cast iron. So I'll need a Williams manifold then?

i can supply an equal length tubular manifold for the F7 engines, but they arent cheap....
