What prices have people paid for theres?

Renault quoted me £209 + VAT

Motormania - £56

Scrappy - £15

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would a second hand one from a scrappy be ok or is it a bit risky?

there £42.50 from gsf(german, swedish and french) i wouldnt risk a scrap one. Or if you do give it a little shake andlisten if its ****ed or not!

i was told not to get a universal one though which motormanias is and the gsf one.

When i got one from gsf it turned out to be a universal one anyway, i ended up paying around £35 for mine.

think i paid £45-£50 for mine, NGK direct fit

buy a universal and you will end up down the line buying another one, they dont work 100% with the car

only buy a direct fit one

the best to buy are bosch ones if you shop about you can get them for £35

As said before dont use cheap ones

you dont really need a direct replacement just a good branded one

yes you do, Nick Hill in his vast experience has found universal ones dont work correctly with these cars, and he has more experience than most, plus with the minor price difference between a universal and a proper one, whats the point in fitting something that might not be working exactly as it should

Depends what your calling a universal one

Im not talking about cheap universal ones

If you buy a bosch one which you re-wire into your orginal loom you shouldnt have any problems

In fact i think the clio ones are 3 wire, so you can buy a 4 wire lambda and use the 4 earth instead of relying on it to earth through the exhaust downpipe which gives a better signal

BRUN

im talking about universal ones mate that you wire in, ive been told by the Renault god himself Nick Hill they dont work properly, some of our suppliers at work have also stopped doing them as they can sometimes not work properly with certain cars

they are not worth the hassle, spend about £5 more and get one which just goes straight in, no messin about, and is designed for the vehicle its going on

As Brun said I have seen many cars with various lambda sensor fitted and in my experience the only one worth fitting is the genuine Bosch sensor for the vehicle. Not all of the clio range use the same sensor so make sure you get the right one for your model. We sell the Bosch sensor at club price of £62.20 inc vat.

yea i only bought the NGK one because i could get it through work cheap and didnt have time to wait for a Bosch as i needed it fitting with some other work @ LTR that i was booked in for

but it works fine though
