Ive recently getting a clio 16v and its started to stall on me as soon as its warm, what happens is the car will stall if i press the clutch in to put it into first gear or when im braking for a junction and come to a stop and the car just cuts out, the strange thing is the car will idle perfect all day if it wanted to but as soon as the clutch is pressed the car will cut out.

please help

In the mean time either use some sneaky heel and toe action, or when nearly stationary use the handbrake to stop and keep blipping the throttle.

ive heard somewhere that knackered thrust washers on the crank can cause stalling when the cluctth is enganed, i hope it isnt this and i dont no if its true, cant remember who told me this, think it was on a golf though!!

i hope it aint nothing to seroius like that. duno bout yours but if your going slow and stop it doesnt cut out straight away it idles up and down like its trying to stay alive and then dies! and you hear it take in its last suck of air. im sure its either getting to much air or not enough. New idle speed control valave didnt help though.
