Whole engine is gonna get overhauled in the next month or so, £360 woth of parts from bbpt, haven't priced up piston rings from reno yet, and then £60 for lifters

most of my stuff came direct from reno.....think it came to a total of just over a grand...thats inc. all pumps rings bearings etc etc etc.


the tappets i cleaned meself..came up like new, saved meself some coin. cost me a 1/2 litre of oil n a can of carb cleaner.

water pump - motor factors cheaper than BB
Headbolts local fastenings comany will have some, may even be able to get some 12.9's if u want em
Gaskets - Renault (best to) unless GSF can get genuine ones cheaper

Yeah i'm in the process of checking dialogies to see what sorta prices

Compared BB prices to gsf on wheel bearings and bb were about £2 cheaper tho, rrp to rrp like

Get cambelt kit from GSF, bb have it listed as piecemeal, best part of £100 inc vat

i rate bb tbh, never had better service, rang me on last working day b4 xmas after i sent internet order the nite before, day after deadline, to sort my order for me in time for xmas. top lads n fair prices n when u order alot the postage stays the same so 8 quid suddenly aint so bad!!

we probably get discount at BBPT you know

and the discount is sometimes quite good actually, not the piss poor 5% that K-Tec give

R12932 CAM BELT & TENS SET CLIO 1.8 16V 65.00+ VAT = £76

At BB the cambelt and 2 tensioners come to £82 with the discount, so if your ordering loads of bits from BB may aswell pay the extra £6, save faffing around going to GSF

ANY motor factors will supply these parts at a price usually a couple of quid cheaper than GSF i find. look in ur yellow pages under motorfactors.

as for rings/shells/seals/thrust washers, i dread to think what ren will charge.....

let me know if u have problems sourcing them

Got the renualt prices at home, and bbpt ones printed off

My local motor factures is usually more expensive than gsf lol
