No they are in the sump IIRC

Most likley what is leaking is the crank oil seal, you have to take the sump off and iirc crank out to chamge the one that end

Not on the mk1 clios freddy boy ;)

Its loacted in teh sump and is driven by gears

Thast for f7p/f7r,and 99% sure its same for f3p, defo not driven by a chain

Thats what i would say, oil pump is bullshit, as stated its in the sump

Whipe ythe cam belt cover off and see where its comming fron if you can wihtout removing the belt and backing

well thats a load of shit cos the oil pump is driven off the cambelt on f7p/r's as i know due to replacing one myself  but you are right in saying it sit in the sump lunner, for your oil pump to be on its way out is very unlikely and like you say is more likely to be an oil seal

oops

Had a quick look in the haynes manual and it said about removing the drive gears or something.

If the face is scored where it sits up against it can be fooked, but you woudl be loosing oil pressure if it was
