whats the legality on getting garages to work on decatted car?

my exhaust is blowin from downpipe to decat union and i aint got time to wait the 2 days it takes renault to get the gaskets so i was gonna take it my local tyre n zorst place n get em to reseal it for me. but are the likely to report me or anything like that?

this may be a stupid question but i dont want to get it sorted then end up gettin pulled half a mile down the road due to an 'anonamous' tip off!

is a de cat the same as a cat back ? when i bought mine the bloke said its got a cat back
will i need to get a cat to fit just for mot day :(

cat back means cat back :D funilly enough, you get the centre section and backbox, the cat stays put, so it will pass emissions

police have got better things to do than look at your exhaust.. only probs would be:

VOSA mobile testing stations.. massive emmisions failiure can result in car being impounded
