Shitter i would, clios are so ****ing easy to break into, pop lock out, pull rod and you are in.

Did you have an alarm?

If they didn't take anything else they had abvously seen it, maybe you getting something outa the boot, and just gone straight for that

27-02-2006, 15:11
No alarm currently, it sitting in my room waiting for me to get enough cash to fit it...

The glovebox was open but nothing taken from there, also headunit cover was up when i know i put it down.

Poss did see me take stuff from the boot yesterday, it a quiet ish area which is bizzare... plently more more expensive cars around

unlucky fella. if your going to have ICE in your motor the you should stick razor blades so they stick out of the sides of your sub box.

wait for the little pricks to pick it up then eh. and when they do run off with less fingers than they arrived with  you can get the blood tested for a DNA match.

chances are the scum have been nicked before...

Sorry to hear this matey, just read on RB. No exactly how you feel Dave as it happened to me, they took my lifetime collection of CD's (me being a spacca was moving house at the time and had popped to work in a mates car in the morning, leaving mine outside the house) my headunit, a £100 jacket and even my suit jacket for work and ****ed my door lock.

Makes no difference though, the value of things...whether they get in or not they are low enough to try and deserve to gag on there own bollocks

27-02-2006, 20:43
aye, well ive just bought the stuff to delock the car...

will start it early 2morro morning :)

weld a metal plate in, don't skim it, it'll just sag

27-02-2006, 20:50
not skimming, glue welding a metal plate either side of the recess. Then skimming with filler and painting

Best way. The heat from welding distorts the panel.

one lesson i've learnt is, you can't have anything nice these days without some scum trying to nick it, i had my rear window seal cut off and the window took out to steal my ice

2. Sanding again
3. Primer

Take it you didn't dish teh sides of the lock hole?

You will need to leave the filler ever so slightly pround, or you will see the outline of the lock hole, spent ages getting it right on my bonnet when i smoothed that

Nope, did that...

it wasnt completly flat as they screwed one side in, so just pushed the other sides in aswell... should looks really flush once sorted.

Coops, i dont know your road however know kingswood and cott road... I used to live in Cottingham, my parents live in willerby now.

Looks liek you got a bit of orange peel there fella, nowt a bit fo wet and dry can't fix tho ;)

01-03-2006, 21:28
its metallic and its not been laquered yet...

Should i wet n dry before laquering metallics?

Lunner
01-03-2006, 21:38
If its got orange peal, sand it down flat with 2000 grit wet and dry and then do a quick mist over again before laquring, if there is orange peal under the laqure you'll never get rid of it, without respraying it

01-03-2006, 21:43
ill check in the morning... however that could be the camera... it pixelates things quite a lot

Lunner
01-03-2006, 21:49
if you are getting orange peal you are holdng teh can too far away/moving it too fast, the paint shoudl hit the surface, run together and then dry before it runs down, fine fine line

01-03-2006, 21:50
yeah... possibly, im hardly spraying in ideal conditions
