was the ISCV you used a new part, because it is a common problem

if it wasnt new, did you clean it before fitting it

Something that is stuck to the top of the section, so people don't miss it.

Found it in parts, guides etc

TRY TAKING OFF THE IDLE CONTROL VALVE clean it it out ie wd40 brake cleaner .. or rust off then put it back on then see wot it is like .. the idle control can stick and cause this..

yes i did defo get the correct coolant temp sensor.

i tried re earthing the car, no change though.

a while back i did change the throttle potentiometer coz the wires were looking a bit shit and in the haynes it says when you replace this the intial postion should be verfied using a xr25 renault test box and well mine wasnt coz i fitted it myself. would this make it cut out?

Check that the retaining clip is on the iscv plug... if not then yout iscv will be slightly disconnecting hence it wont hold the revs up on idle ie clutch changes etc.

im gonna change the lambda sensor coz after listening to you lot i think it might be fooked ive looked on gsf website is it a lambda probe? coz thats all thats listed.

BRUN

dont buy a universal one, make sure its actually listed for the vehicle and doesnt just fit nearly everything

the crank sensor is on top of the gearbox under the airbox, can get one from any motor factors
