may be a blonde question but
you have ur williams 001 002 etc
did they produce a williams 001 for each country that they were sold in or is williams 001 the only 001 in the world?

Yes and no.
The majority of Willys were numbered together but there was one country which got a seperate numeration but they were only 3 digits.
So you have 0001 at Renault UK and 001 elsewhere in the world.
I think anyway.

I think they did 0001 to something like 4000 all numbered in order. Left hand drive and right hand drive
They numbered them all up and they were stickered up according (williams / swiss champion) to which country they went to.
0007 is in france !

thats what i mean. they start at 0001 and then to say 4000. some are right hand drive - others left.

The UK had most of the first 400ish cars, but there were still some LHD cars mixed in with them. So although the UK got 390 Willy 1s, the plaque number can go past 400 - for instance 0415 or something.
After around 420 though, the rest were all LHD. As far as we're aware I guess.
