epiphone gibson 56 studio...just purchased it 5 mins ago, in the post tomorrow....LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

into guitars as well - have a '72 Gibson and a beautiful antique classical - inset with mother of pearl - a real beauty - also a limited edition tanglewood jazz guitar with a mother of pearl dragon running the length of the neck. Pity I can't play them - the musicians are my son & daughter.

lol. it is a quality guitar.
The one i ordered has gold coloured knobs the one above is just one that looks like my new one, my new one looks better 8) :wink:

but it plays real real nice, love it, got a wah wah also Jim Dunlop but cant get my head around it but i love playing it

but i must get a gibson [real one] one day, there soooo classy, and a note will ring for ages on a gibson! Super sharp, snakey lady im too jealous!

but over £1k for a guitar is a bit silly at the mo when i own a clio :oops:

**** the Gibbons, Epiphone all the way my Epiphone plays as good as a Les Paul but has the added bonus of having better pickups than a Les Paul.

hehe can't even keep my guitar standard :P

I'll post some pics of my Les Paul tonight if I get a mo.

Its got a kent armstrong motherbucker sitting on the bridge position with an HR1R on the neck, its effectively a 3 humbucker guitar wired for max power, he he. My mate says it sounds like thunder, lol

Well les pauls are archtop guitars so that makes it pretty difficult straight away as its a lot of carving involved.

For summit like that id be wanting round £700 - 800, with that you'd be getting the best available hardware, electronics, woods.

Id prob find a phat piece of macasser ebony for the body, and a wenge/maple/ebony laminate neck.

This way the guitar would look black w/out painting but you'd still get the beauty of the wood.

Whack in some gotoh hardware and some seymour duncan pickups and you'd have a guitar that would rival most imo.
