Hello Peeps, just thought I would you show you some pics of the myself and Stu's track day purchases.
Got 2 Clio 16v's for a bargain price, both need some work on them, sills being the main problems on both and a fooked brakes on the other.
Both have been lowered and are in a poor condition, were gonna try and make one good one from the 2, the naples one was on 60k but Stu blew that up on the way home :P , it's a good just we have another engine to choose from hehe
It's mainly gonna be somthing for me and Stu to work on over the summer and hope to get a few track days from one of them. It's looking like we are going to use the White one so, all the bits we don't need or use we will be breaking the Naples one, so keep an eye out on the for sale section soon.
We managed to get him to sell both 16v's, 2 Cobra buckets and harnesses for £780. Hopefully we can make some our cash back breaking the naples one, if not **** it :P

I'm pretty sure u'll be able to get quite a bit back selling interiors etc....
Once u've finished with the Naples one set it on fire in a field and film it....we'll create a forum so the Naples boys get sit back and enjoy.... :lol:

They are both far from perfect, but for less than 400 notes each we can't grumble, naples interior is in good nick and had a cat back exhaust on it too.
Plus they both have mint F16ie covers, so the willy has a shiny new cover on it :P

Nah they were on Auototrader, thought he wanted 800 each for them til we turned up and he wanted 800 for both...lol
They were from up near Preston in Longridge
One has MOT and one doesn't, one has a ****ed bottom end and one doesn't hopefully one decent one will come from both.

Yeah up near you fella, don't think they have moved for a long while and were on a farm, he was gonna make one good one out of the two but lost interest.
Plans are get one up to scratch, strip it, buckets, hopefully a cage, do a few track days, repair it when Stu smashes it ;), maybe 2ltr it, haven't drove a Valver for about 2 years, you sort of get used to Willy power.

You going with standard bits for now, like suspension etc? Might have some 2nd hand springs if you do. :wink:

Yeah will do for now, they don't handle too badly from what I can remeber :lol: , plus want to keep outlay down to a minimum for the moment.

Well I'm doing a full refurb this w/e so if you want the best bits then you can have 'em.
Front shockers and top mounts are knacked, but all the rest should be goo, incl. rear shocks.
Let me know and I'll not take 'em to the skip.

I'll put them on one side then. I can't be arsed selling them given they're 2nd hand so they'd have only been going in the skip. :P
cool, valvers are better for track, dont matter so much if u prang em lol just waiting on getting mine back and keeping it a 1.8 16v with no wide track for fun(and cost) :D

(that one sounded the sweeter of the two as well! lol)
no mate the red un sounded fukkin horrible lol.......the white one seemed to drive the better of the 2, even with 3 brakes locked on and the n/s/f hub hangin off lol. sounded sweet enuff tho.....like rob says tho, a gud un can be had from the 2, with spares etc to mess about with and learn shit on hehe
the shell's still not too bad on the red one Jon... would be a good seam welding project :wink: :wink:

Cheers fellas, yeah Jon white one got delivered last night, looked mint on the trailer...lol
Gonna set to work on them tonight, tried yesterday but couldn't get the wheels off, as we put them on with a breaker bar at the farm, but didn't have one at home, so I'm gonna have to pick one up today :D
The white one deffo does have a better sounding engine, shame the brakes and hub are fooked.
The bloke tipped the trailer last night to get the car off, hand brake was off, and didn't roll off the trailer..lol Brakes are deffo ****ed.
very impressed rob.
if a spare shell is going to a free home :wink:
could be part of the surveyors/advisors fee lol ;)

That's so true it hurts. Saw a white 360 Spider this morning. I hate 360s looks but this was pure porn. 8)
Sounds very 8) and very Miami Vice :P
Best car I've seen in white was a Gallardo. Awesome.
