16v help please

right as you may have read had a few idle problems since a large puddle incerdence any way so of sorted its self out now


any way got in the car this morning checked dial oil pressure 5 bar from cold??? im sure its not normally that high is it ???


whist running and getting warm sat on motorway and was abut 4 bar ' 70 ish is this correct any 1 have any idea


got home and left to idle for a few seconde lowered to approx 1bar ??

Hello mate,

OIl when cold is thicker... hence takes a bit more effort to pump it around the veins in the engine.. as your engine warms naturaly the oil does.. making it thinner... thinner = easier to pumpa round the engine.. lower pressure :-)

5 bar on start up is healthy

oww good just making sure was a little worried cause did a oil change the other day and only just noticed it today

What oil did you put in?

mines 3 bar usually on start up mate...so 5 is real good

mine is also three bar

mines about 4 bar now since the change, but pretty much any revs from cold brings it right up to 6
