getting it fixed as soon as ben has the time, in a few weeks time like hopefully! with decent pulleys this time! lol

still gonna try and get some kind of comp out of kent (cheers to gunner), but cant be expected to leave the car bust up for months on end while it all gets sorted!

Bens a top bloke, hes gonna help out with parts so its a little less harsh!

Track is very good ...definatly takes more than one visit to master it! Did'nt help that I did'nt get on till 11:30 due to a fuel leak lol No spins though which was nice....just been checking my vids and I reckon I can go a fair bit faster next time..

Deffo... I had a fuel leak so had to spend all morning running off some fuel on the roads around the circuit before I could get on at 1130 ish and by then I was playing catchup went out and got blitzed by everything on track  ...got a little better by the end but was still messing up my lines/gears/speeds on some corners lol Might keep the vids to myself

TBH the track was far too wet and slipery to puish it hard till about when you got on Martin, spent most of the morning taking it easy.

Alot of fast machinary there, got blitzed by most things, but will edit some videos out and out them up.

Decided i need some new springs, due to my sills almost touching the floor going round corners, had a few decent drifting moments too :)

OWNED

Lunner
20-02-2006, 14:49
You'd be owned by 3.0 BMW M3 track car, and Escort RS2000 with stage 2 head and cams, and lotus elises and exieges and caterhams lol

Jamie.

didnt jesus overtake a lotus at a previous trackday? think it may have been donnington?

Lunner
20-02-2006, 14:55
Could ahve done, but alot of the guys tehr had dedicated track cars, think more turned uo on trailers than got driven there.

At donnignton there were a couple of TVR's going slow, doesn't mean tehy were slow cars

Is that your black valver Richy?

im buying it yes, i was suppose to have it 3week ago, but rich is having problems with his new valver so hes still using it, it will be my track car shortly, staying as a 1.8 16v and no wide track, just a few modifications tho

Looks like a belter.

What mods?

richy
20-02-2006, 16:35
my wilwood 4pots, not sure if to fit my 165lb or 100lb springs to it, me sparco sprint seats/harness's and big valved/gasflowed(etc) cyl head, and my black speedline comp 2 alloys with eagle f1 gsd3 rubber

I'm surprised the Clios didn't fair as well here as they did at Donington. Cadwell is perfect for the little n light Clios being tight n twisty, and Donington is wide and open so a lack of power shows more-so. :?

Must have been the quality of track go-er, as Lunner said. Glad I didn't go now :P

richy
20-02-2006, 16:43
i think the fact we was short on cars didnt help, bayliss valver gearbox died, martin's kept leaking fuel till midday, mine didnt even make it there, black valver only did a few laps as test thrash lol, left dannyt n lunner really

Zollo
20-02-2006, 17:05
And lets face it, an RSi isn't exactly a shining example of what a Clio can do is it.... half the valves are missing for goodness sake :P

What was up with martin's fueling? Sounds a little random!

Definatly the quality of driver imo at Anglesey & donny most were absolute novices or mid life crisis candidates who got a 'fast' car...at cadwell the elise, caterhams, scoobs etc were being driven properly!

Seal on the fuel pump has gone so when I brimmed it...was pissing out round corners...had to get it down to just over half a tank.
