Id take ur time , dont be too impatient

well i would get some! not being funny but u dont know how much money these cars can cost u! buy one without having a look round may cost u a couple of k in repairs.

there is a couple of 3's for sale at the mo in scotland and a couple of them are v nice!

it just gettin there and its starin to look like i havnt got enough money! how much would you say you should pay for a good one?

stew

generally the more you pay, the better it will be.

around 3k should get you a nice williams.

any cheaper and they tend to have problems that will cost £££ to repair.

some people have bought rite bargins recently tho ~2k!

Jamie.
19-02-2006, 16:53
imo up to 4k

4k would be my topline

holl
19-02-2006, 16:53
well that is what im looking to spend(2k)! as im only 20 the insurance is quite high and need some money to pay the deposit!

holl
19-02-2006, 16:59
what should the milage be like on the car cos the ones ive seen at the mo are really high? :?

Jamie.
19-02-2006, 17:01
varys condition is better than milegae.

i bought mine last year for 4k on 77k and its on 81k now........

remember 10k a yr is app the av

stew
19-02-2006, 17:11
yeah, i wouldnt bother too much with milage.

people always rave on about how many miles the car has done but imo it isnt very crucial.

id rather buy a 110k williams thats been looked after than a 75k williams thats never been cared for!

if your only 20 and only got 2k to spend, look at buying a mint valver, as you will find it hard to get a good williams for that, and keep it running!

holl

i love the williams tho!!!
:P

matt uk offered me his car but it seems to have done alot of miles?

spending only 2k on a williams is just asking for trouble imho unless you are really lucky.

save some more cash or just buy something else for the time being is my advice.

considered a williams powered 16v hybrid?

cheaper option. doesnt have the pedigree tho!

Jamie.
19-02-2006, 18:05
just luck of the draw anyway, u can buy what u think is a minter and have to rebuild it anyway. dont do the hybird or valver route as u want a williams and choosing a cheaper alternative will only leave u still wanting. u said ur bf has a 5 turbo and knows how to maintain that so maybe u shud buy a shitter and get him to help u restore it.
