What is it that goes on them? And where do they weld? In the car or under the bonnet?

Might get mine done as a matter of cause

its in the car! there is a ball joint that wears! the ball joint is there for safety in an accident, as it makes the column collapse away from the driver!

my old man did mine on an old valver! made it 100 x better and it withstood many a track day after!

altho the bloke at the garge did say they should have a tiny bit of play in them so didnt recommend havin it welded!

Yeah but the columns for the manual roack are solid, without this universal joint.

Paul, thats not the part that makes it collapse in an accident, its the bit that stops it wrenching the wheel outa your hands if you hit a pothole/kerb etc
