right i've tried a few things now, changed icv twice, tried spraying brake cleaner where inlet manifold is to see if gasket is leaking somewhere the revs didn't budge.

I mean it was initially revving at 3000rpm, when i changed icv brought it down too 1500rpm, i just don't know which way to turn now, any idea's anyone

u worked the ISCV with wd40 back n forth for ages yet? pop the valve off n all and hold ur thumb over the pipe from it going into the inlet manifold. get someone start the engine, if it cuts out striaght away air aint leakin anywhere else so more than likely its the ISCV!!

Try both the iscvs i supplied you with (both cleaned).
The issue sounds like it is not with any gaskets because you mentioned to me that the car stalls when you plug the iscv up at one end... if it were a gasket the leak would provide the air needed to keep the engine going.

I'd be looking at the POT/coolant sensor. Speedo earth issues only become apparent when you drive and rev it up....however earth it anyway.

Unplug the coolant sensor (lower socket of the 2) and see if there is any undue changes to idle...

do the same for components such as lambda.

CAn you descirbe in more detail the idle prob you are suffering : idle on startup? any rise? idle sound?
