I've never heard of it being done, but can't see it being that much of a benefit TBH, the std size is plenty, don't want to increase the unsprung weight ;)
std dics, ferrodo ds2500 and some braided lines, all you'll ever need. If you've got BIG power then some willwood dynalites with std discs :D

i run wilwood dynalites on my williams, and iirc the valver has ferrodo ds2000(or there abouts), i was just wandering really
i have a feeling that they bolt straight on
out of intrest fred, what pads would u reccomend for road/track use for my 16v? i wanna keep the 4pots on me williams lol so gonan get braided hoses and some better pads etc
although i am very tempted to fit 280mm with somehting like performance friction 97 pads
I'm sure they don't bol on bolt spacing looked different on the hub from what I remember. I've got a 172 hub downstairs so if anyone has a Mk1 hub can then measure the hub bolt spacing.
if they dont they dont, thats just tuff shit really, unfortantly i dont have spare hubs!!
Got a mk1 hub in the garage....and one in the garden lol
Will measure it tomorrow
well considering my Hi-spec 285mm 4 pots are meant for a mk1 clio, yet they bolt straight on to a mk2, and 172 brakes just happen to fit my mk2, i'm under the impression that they "should" bolt straight on
i maybe wrong, but my method of investigation seems to be logical!!!
AFAIK PF don't do a pad for the willywood, but i'll look into it
Hispec pads for example are IDENTICAL to Volvo 240 pads believe it or not (£12.87 for a set from my local motorfactor!!!!)

DS2500 without question.
I was thinking of some 172/megane 280 brakes,
once I set eyes on the pads these use...
Double the size of our 259 pads :P
The prob is that I don't thik they will fit straight on
which means adapters = even more weight :?

Not even gonna ask how you came accross that one lol

Oooooooooooooo gonna get down to the factors, im running DS3000 in my Hi-Spec calipers and there crap for the road.
You just running standard pads fred?
yeah my personnal point of view on it is why spend £90 on pads for my own car, i'll stick to the cheap ones (which are surprisingly good) if i **** them, its only £12.87 down the toilet
i'm too poor to buy expensive pads (although i would like to!)
Smokey, which calipers do you have? i'm running the billet 4's
pad dimensions are 60mm x 98mm IIRC (check before you buy)

Mk1 hub carrier has 82mm centres for the brake carrier
its not for my wilwoods fred, for the std 16v brakes on me valver, although im under the impression is has DS2500 anyway! (not driven it yet lol)
Ahh, im running the monster 4's fred http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/monster_4_std.htm
different pads, but i'll do some diggin and find out what the pads are off ;)
