Would anybody be interested in some stainless bits for under their bonnets??

My mate is doing a load of stainless stuff and I might be offering mine up as a guinea pig. So, if a few peeps were interested, we could get a group discount on stuff. I was thinking:

Header tanks - £108 (price at the mo)
PAS res - Not made yet
Heat shields - Not made yet
plug covers - Not made yet
battery covers - Not made yet

Can anyone think of anything else???

His site is in the making, but some parts are available now

How do you propose to view the coolant level in header tank???

Could be interested in one.

My heatshield is brand new so wont be needing one of them.

28-10-2006, 10:20
I will have a heatshield when they are available

Lunner
28-10-2006, 14:54
no offense but a piece of stainless isn't going to stop **** all heat, you want somethiung like nimbus or cirrus heat shield and mould that to shape

cliorod
28-10-2006, 17:41
I agree Lunner, whilst you cannot argue about the aesthetics (??) 8) 8) of stainless. It is s**t at dispersing heat.
The NIMBUS you speak of is the dogs gonads, see the ads in Demon Tweeks catalogue, pages 277,278,279 www.demon-tweeks.co.uk
Not cheap but it works.

28-10-2006, 18:18
i'd have a heat sheild :D

Lunner
29-10-2006, 10:50
I'm gonna buy a sheet of nibus or cirrus, thats the dual layer with fibre insulation between??? And see how easy it is to ould to shape, might end up making a mould for it and forming it to that as the heat shleid is a bit of an awkward shape.......that will be a job for xmas when i'm bored to tears lol
