size is debatable, but std size should be 185/55/15, but u can fit 195/50/15 which are generally cheaper!

i personally run goodyear eagle f1 gsd2 in 185/55/15 on my williams wheels and gsd3(eagle f1) in 195/50/15 on my track wheels, aslot of the lads on here run the michelin exalto (iirc) and rate them but these tend to be bit mroe to buy!

id say the 185/55 tend to be a bit more comfy, more play and more fun on bumpy roads, 195/50 tend to be bit tramliney and better on track i find

i dont use 195/45/15 so cant say on them, but i prefer the feel of 185/55 when im going down back roads down to the fact they dont tramline as bad, u dont feel all the bumps and potholes as much which softens the ride up, bad oint is cost!

but i do prefer the 195/50 when im on track, seem alot more stable and plenty of grip, they do tramline abit more but thats not really a problem on track tbh, and they are alot cheaper!

tbh mate i wouldnt fit anything bigger then 15", that way u retain the handling and performance, besides once lowered a little theres sod all room for bigger wheels! but thats me -each to there own¬!!

richy
13-02-2006, 18:06
259mm front and 240mm on rear iirc, not that u need 300mm discs tbh, u can get 4pot kits to fit std(like mine)

gd gd, bought some new disks quite a while ago, getting them fitted sat, and there were two different options for the rear disks from ebc got the small ones tho, and im sticking with the 15" tyres just getting some better ones, still got the original ones on there and there WORN

Toyo T1-Rs have been awesome on my 306. I'd say 195/50/15 T1-Rs for outright grip with less flex in the sidewall. Or 185/55/15s for a better ride and nicer handling characteristics...

I've always used toyo ti-s & t1-r 195/50 (45s on the nana) because I get them for a good price......seem to perform fine. Keep meaning to try some eagles..

Next tyres I get will be Eagles, heard good things about them and can't go wrong with £32 each from mytyres! Got old 185/55/15 Michelin Pilot HX's on at the mo and not impressed (don't think they even make these anymore...lol)

I was on F1 GSD3 195/50 and now on T1R 195/50.
It's only been 1000km but I like toyos better.
They suit my setup better me thinks (widetrack),
they give more info, are quieter and more progresive when loosing grip
