really odd because i never see any valvers/williams's around my way.

i was driving a blue l plate valver with gold multispokes btw

I got told that, bunch of lying tossers the AA are, got it out and it was fine

Clutch pedal assembly that contains the ratchet is £23 from reno, and cable is £10-£15 from GSF.

Both are a cunt of a job, pedal more so.

Technically easy, just pain in the ass to get to

hadest bit is gettin out the old cable in the bulkhead (took the snips to mine in the end) and poking the cable back through is hard

if i was you, dont attempt it....
just get a renault specialist to do it...cost about 80-90 for the pedal and cable fitted including parts.

really not worth the hassle..trust me

Piss easy, long screwdriver on the bit that pokes through the bulkhead, and hit it with a hammer out in seconds.

Tie a bit of string to the end of the old cabler, and when you feed the new one through an assistant can pull the string and it guids the cabler through. Long screwdriver and hammer to push teh collar inot the bulkhead

Pdeal is easy once you have done it once or twice.

I'm in the midlands and will fit a pedal for £40, and cable for £30

Well i tryed doing the cable myself and got the actual cable through the bulkhead to the pedal but not the colar, but i think the old colar was stuck inbetween and stopping the new one getting in! so i just put it in the garage and they've now told me that the rachet is buggered as well.. so the cars been there since yesterday! can see it being quite pricey :S

ratchet is booked at 2 hour job, cable about an hour

Got car back an hour ago, only cost £100 plus the 15 i payed for the clutch cable so not as bad as i was expecting! clutch is a hell of a lot lighter now! :D

Yeah its the cable, they wear and the grease they grease the inner with wears off, and they gradually get heavier, fit a new one and its light as anything
