Dude, you haven't even stated that the car has standard 16v leather in good nick which is a big selling point!

I have seen this car by the way and looks like a nice example.

upwards of 2k imo, people tend to undervalue valvers all the time, cat171 on cs got £2750 for his last year, and somebody else got £2.5k for their naples one, the buyer travelled all the way from the isle of wight to fetch it.

Gav
13-02-2006, 18:22
because im seriously considering selling it and getting another one

It's a 10+yr old car. It's not a collectors item. I just can't see why anyone would be mad enough to pay that. Fair play if you can sell it for that, but anyone that buys one for that is clearly mental.

We paid £2300 for an S-plate Xsara VTS with 2 owners and 35k on the clock and it was like it had come from the factory.

It just doesn't make sense to pay that much for a car that's over 10yrs old, no matter how mint, when you can find cracking examples for much less.

Gav

so is a williams and they sell for 4k + still a 10yr old car

and i wouldnt class them as collectors but ppl still pay that money for them! ive seen them go for 7k.....thats crazy, u can get a 172 now-a-days for that price

I agree with you, if everyone was so quick to take the first offer the car markets arse will drop out... oh hang on, it has! good on you mate, stick to your guns, someone who wants a mint valver will pay that and more i reckon, I'd pay more for what appears to be a hassle free motor (assumption based on miles).

I'd class them as a collector's car. They're also well known to petrolheads. Take a look back through performance car issues and you'll see about 12 articles on the williams, which will have set in the minds of most people, including the evo decade ish.

Don't get me wrong, I love the valvers, but people are definitely mental if they're willing to pay that much for one. Fair play if you can sell it for that though.

well i would love for you to find a 10 year old car with only 57,000 miles and only has 2 owners,,,,,, trust me when you want a good car like a valver then you would pay watever the price aslong as your happy,,,, and the reason why i want so much is because the car is mint and i spent alot on it...so the only person that is mental is the person that dont buy it... 8)
